And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

I’m so glad that Jon and Christie found me through their family friend, Thomas’ aunt, who shared photos from Thomas and Jocelyne’s wedding with them! Jon and Christie actually met each other when they were toddlers, but never really knew each other well. Their parents went to the same church growing up and kept in touch when Jon’s family moved away. They even went to the same college, but never connected there. It wasn’t until they ran into each other at a friend’s birthday party in San Francisco that they got to know each other. They are so sweet and I cannot wait until their wedding at The Pearl in SF  in May! We wanted to get their engagement photos done quickly so they could get their Save the Dates out. My weekends have been pretty crazy recently, so I am glad we were able to find a good day for their engagement session. I was so excited they chose to have their engagement session at Sutro Baths and Lands End and have been dying to share their gorgeous sunset engagement.

We totally lucked out with the weather and sunset on the day of their engagement session. I have been to Sutro Baths many times, but it’s always been quite chilly and while it’s been gorgeous, the sunset has never been anything to write home about. For Jon and Christie’s engagement session, however, the sunset was truly incredible and the light was perfect! We started the session up in Lands End while the light was still bright before making our way down to the ruins of Sutro Baths. Christie was a total trooper and made the steep walk down even in her heels!

When I saw the beautiful reflections on the sand, I immediately begged Jon and Christie to do a few photos on the beach. It was actually perfect because Sutro Baths themselves were incredibly crowded (we ran into four other groups of couples/families getting photographed), so it was nice to spend some time on the beach away from the crowds. For the last moments of sunset though, we headed back to the ruins where the calmer winds gave us some stunning reflections on the pools. I loved photographing these two and am now anxiously awaiting their wedding! I know it’s going to be amazing.
