And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

I’ve been looking forward to this gorgeous Redwood Grove wedding in Saratoga, CA for over a year now! I first met Bridget and Mark over coffee and instantly fell in love with them. Bridget and Mark both grew up in the Bay Area, but didn’t meet until a few years ago when a friend of Bridget’s who worked with Mark introduced the two of them. At the time, Bridget was hesitant to meet Mark, as she was not a fan of being set up, but luckily she agreed to it, because they make such an incredible couple! Mark proposed to Bridget in front of Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite, so it was no surprise that they chose to have their wedding at Saratoga Springs among the redwoods.

Saratoga Springs Wedding at Redwood Grove Couple kissing on bridge

I’ve photographed at Saratoga Springs several times now, but this was my first time doing a wedding at the smaller Redwood Grove site. It was the perfect choice for Bridget and Mark, as they had a smaller, intimate wedding. They made the space absolutely stunning by adding beautiful acrylic signs, candles, touches of gold details and incredible floral arrangements filled with white peonies, roses and eucalyptus from La Lavande Florals to go with the string lights and redwoods. One of the wedding planners at Saratoga Springs actually said they had never seen Redwood Grove looking better than for Bridget and Mark’s ceremony and reception!

We started with the first look on the bridge at Cathedral Grove, surrounded by the towering redwoods. Mark was completely blown away by how beautiful Bridget was in her lovely lace dress.

On our way to Longbridge, we got Bridget’s amazing bouquet! I loved the simple color palette and the gorgeous white peonies nestled within all the eucalyptus leaves.

I loved all the beautifully calligraphed acrylic signs, but my absolute favorite detail was a framed letter Bridget wrote to her dad when she was a child, telling him how much she missed him.

Bridget’s brother walked her down the aisle to Mark. Both Bridget’s mom and Mark’s mom did a reading during the ceremony. The funniest part though, was when Mark accidentally skipped Bridget’s first name and went straight to her middle name because he was so intent on not missing it!
