And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

It’s always taken me weeks (sometimes months) to get used to writing in the correct year for dates come January… but it is 2018 now! 2018 is already shaping up to be my busiest wedding season yet, and I am actually almost fully booked up, which is crazy. Side note, if you’re interested in having me as your wedding photographer for 2018, please contact me as soon as possible, because I am only taking on two more weddings. Every January since 2013, I’ve posted my favorite photos of the previous year. Some of them haven’t made it to my blog, but I’ve gone through the process of pulling the photos together every year and really love seeing how I’ve grown. It’s also a fun way to remember everything that has happened during the year. Over the last few years, my work has shifted from primarily self portraits to engagements and weddings. I’m excited to share my 17 in 2017 best photos of the year, most of them from the weddings and engagement sessions I have photographed this year.

2017 was certainly eventful and it had all sorts of highs and lows. We started off the year with a trip to London and Lisbon with my sister, brother-in-law and mom. If you go to Lisbon, you HAVE to visit Sintra! It has the most amazing castles. Oh, and get pastel de nata at Manteigra. I am still dreaming of them. In April, I got to photograph my best friend’s wedding, which was an incredible experience. We took another trip to Maui in May, which we spent snorkeling and eating shave ice. In July, my grandpa was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He was battling with health issues on and off, so earlier in the year my dear friend Felicia Chang Photography came to photograph my family. The photos she took were absolutely priceless. I got a promotion at work, which was good because Sam and I put down a deposit for a townhouse, eep! We also spent basically every weekend at my sister’s playing various board games. Our favorites of the year have been Charterstone, Terraforming Mars and Steampunk Rally. I’m looking forward to seeing how 2018 goes and cannot wait for all the weddings I will be photographing!
